READ

Galatians 6:9 NLTSo let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

REFLECT

The Tired Father

  • What is the most challenging part of parenting? Share some of the specific challenges you encounter as a father of young kids.
  • How has the fatigue of parenting affected your ability to be a godly example to your children?

Doing Good

  • According to this verse, we are encouraged “not get tired of doing what is good." What does it mean to "do good" as a father?
  • Write down some examples of where you have experienced the rewards of "doing good" as a father.

Keep Going

  • The verse assures us that if we do not give up, we will reap a harvest of blessing. What do you think this "harvest" represents in the context of fatherhood?
  • Young kids don’t always know the doctrines of the Bible, but they do learn Bible truth. What are the Bible truths you are currently teaching your children (obedience, truthfulness, kindness, self-control, love)?
  • In the moments when parenting feels difficult and you begin to “get tired of doing what is good,” what is the action you plan to take instead of being overwhelmed?
