Iron Sharpens Iron: Growing in LeadershipExemplo
WINNING SOULS
Charles Spurgeon once said, "I have spoken to you at different times, brethren, about the great work of our lives, which is that of winning souls." His fervent desire was that every believer would be committed to leading others to Jesus. He also remarked, "We are sure to get the blessing we are seeking when the whole atmosphere in which we are living is favorable to soul-winning." As leaders, we grasp the critical importance of seeing people come to Christ.
Though not all leaders may be evangelists by calling, Paul instructs us to "do the work of an evangelist." Our role is to proclaim the good news and to ignite that same zeal in others. Leaders are not just called to win souls themselves but also to inspire others to join in this vital mission. One of the most effective ways to rekindle this passion is to surround ourselves with those who are fervently dedicated to winning souls for Jesus, allowing their enthusiasm to ignite our own.
As you reflect on the scriptures, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to someone with whom you can share the gospel. Additionally, pray for God to bring someone into your life who will inspire a renewed passion for soul-winning in your heart.
