Reading With the People of God #7 CommitmentExemplo
Memorization Challenge:
6 Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. 7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. (Joshua 1:6-7 NLT)
Reading Primer: Approaching the King...
Imagine standing before a great and powerful king who commands armies, holds absolute authority, and rules over the entire earth. How would you feel? How would you approach this king?
Today, we will reflect on what it means to honor and serve our King… Jesus Christ. We’ll start with Psalm 45, which praises God’s royal majesty, then move on to Joshua 5:13-15, where Joshua encounters the commander of the Lord’s army, and 1Timothy 6, where Paul calls us to live a life of righteousness under God’s supreme rule.
This morning, as we read these scriptures, let us continue to ask ourselves, “How would I approach God? Do I live in awe and reverence of His holiness and submit to His kingship in every aspect of my life?”
People of God, let’s live in reverence, pursue righteousness, and honor Christ as our King every single day through the lives that we live.

Sobre este plano
This is the seventh part of a reading plan through the Bible, following the lectionary pattern of reading in the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament each day. In addition, each day this month will feature a memorization challenge for Joshua 1:6-9 and 24:14-15, and there will be brief devotionals from different people in our Church scattered throughout the plan.
