Jesus, I Need You, Part 2Exemplo
QUIET MOMENT
Jesus is the light of the world. We need His light. When our vision becomes darkened, we lose our way, and it is very difficult to stay the course that God set us on. John the Baptist asks us to get ready to receive the light so we can see the path. God sent his messenger to proclaim the arrival of His Son and to call men and women to repentance – to confess their apathy and their lukewarmness to God. He commanded people to come out of their darkness by repenting and bringing forth fruit, the evidence of true repentance. Has God revealed anything new to help you identify any darkness in your life?
GOING DEEPER
Read John 1:1-28. What do you learn about the Word, light, and darkness? What are the key points that speak to your heart?
Imagine standing in a dark room and the only source of light you have is a very small candle. When you light it, even though it is small, it penetrates the darkness enough so that you can navigate through the darkness. Now think of this from a spiritual perspective. If this is true about a small candle, how much more so is the light of the Word of God! What is the importance of listening intently to the Word and meditating on it in your daily life? How do you listen and then, in listening, bear light?
REFLECTION AND PRAYER
What do the people around you see in you? What do they hear from you? Ask the Lord to penetrate any darkness in your heart with His light.
TAKE THE TRUTH TO HEART AND BRING THE TRUTH TO LIFE
Choose one truth from today and apply it to your heart. Take it with you throughout the day.
