Psalm 1

This will be your 4th day reading Psalm 1. Are you noticing that you are starting to have the psalm memorized? One of the benefits of spending longer amounts of time with one passage is that it starts to make a place in your mind.

Read the passage once, then go back and pray the passage. To pray the passage means to turn your thoughts about the passage into a conversation with God. Talk to God about what you want or are afraid of from the passage. Praise God for what he promises in the passage. Confess to God from the passage where you fall short. Thank God for his promises in the passage.

How does this passage call us to a new way of life?

“We must allow the Word of God to confront us, to disturb our security, to undermine our complacency and to overthrow our patterns of thought and behavior.”

--John Stott

The Word Of God Plan

Understanding the necessity, power, and qualities of the Word of God is critical to those who wish to grow as Christians. Where better to learn how to view God’s Word than in Scripture itself? This 30-day devotional allows you to read and reflect on what the Bible says about itself so you can understand better what the Word is and how you should approach it. Come, meet God in His Word!
