Saved From Death For FreeSample
Impossible Cure
It all starts with God’s love. The entire spiritual life, all that God has done for you in Christ, starts with God’s great love for you. This is the wellspring and the fountainhead of the spiritual life.
It does not start with me. It does not begin with my goodness, my cleverness, my devotion, or my churchmanship. God’s love for us, for you, is pure, strong, and tender. Do you know his love? I do not mean if you know it mentally, I mean if you know it with your heart. Do you feel loved by God?
I hope so. Oh, I hope so.
God doesn’t love you because you are so lovable, but because he is so loving:
He is outrageous in his love for you.
He is relentless in his love for you.
He is unfettered in his love for you.
He is gracious in his love for you.
He is personal in his love for you.
He is emotional in his love for you.
This is God’s love for you. Receive it, believe it, embrace it, enjoy it.
In Speechless, Steven Curtis Chapman put it this way: “In the gospel, we discover we are far worse off than we thought, and far more loved than we ever dreamed.”

About this Plan
In Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, he addresses many questions to the church about the nature of their relationship with their Savior. These selections from Ephesians 2 are a reflection on the sinful world’s desperate need for salvation, the unique and transformative gift of God’s grace, the nearness to God that the believer can experience as a result.
