Creating Priestly Garments

Galeries Lafayette is my all-time favorite shopping destination. During my 6-week college study abroad program in Paris, I literally would spend hours in there playing around with clothing, trying on makeup and just walking the various boutiques on the multiple levels. You could always tell the more extravagant floors because when you got off of the elevator, it was dead quiet. The more ornate designs were housed on these floors. There weren’t a bunch of clothing racks and styles all bunched up together; simply 7-10 pieces hung on the walls or on mannequins. A few pieces from each collection to provide the shopper with the vision of the designer. Another feature of these areas were the personal shopping or stylist offices housing exquisitely dressed men and women, at your service to dress you for whichever occasion. The scene is reminiscent of the clothing the high priest for their entry into the temple in Exodus 28. 

The chapter provides great detail of the priestly garment, what is to worn when and why. My assumption is that each priest was assigned a “stylist” to assist them in getting ready. It wasn’t a jeans and t-shirt situation. I’m sure the preparation took hours. These “stylists” were employees of the temple, ordained by God to robe, de-robe and maintain the priestly garments as I’m 100% sure that the priest didn’t just throw his robe over the chair when he was finished meeting with God. As a stylist, submit your gift to the Lord and do not take your position lightly. You are preparing kings and priests to meet with their destiny with style. You are an essential part of the team. God needs you to operate in your full anointing to beautify the earth.
