Fashioned For His Purpose

DAY 3 OF 7

Wash your face, change your clothes

Prior to meeting with God, most scripture points to the fact that we must come to him fresh and clean. No dingy dirty whites. No distressed denim. No filthy matted hair. No smelly pits. Those who were called to meet with him had to come with a clean heart AND clean body. In the New Testament, we all know the nativity story and how the three wise men came into newborn baby Jesus’s presence bringing the fresh spices of frankincense and myrrh. He was to be adorned with the third gift of gold. Furthermore, when Mary Magdalene washed the feet of Christ, she didn’t use cheap bargain basement lotion. Honey, she used a vat of expensive oil and was commended of the great love she showed in doing so. Does this sound to you like a God who’s not a fan of opulence and beauty? As part of the beauty and fashion industry, you are a conduit to the world of style and refinement. You are a provider of goods and services that make the world a prettier place to be. You help your clients and customers walk confidently into business meetings, date nights, weddings, birthdays…there are no areas that you don’t touch. Don’t take that gift lightly! Without you the glory of God in man truly can’t be seen!

About this Plan

Fashioned For His Purpose

God is the ultimate designer. He created the heavens and the earth and inspired men and women throughout the bible to build temples, construct "fine" garments and prepare to meet with kings. In this plan, you'll learn God's heart for the creative arts and the people He has anointed to display His beauty in the earth. Let it inspire you to continue your pursuit of a career in the arts.
