DAY 6 OF 41

FALLING INTO GOD’S ARMS

We live in special times where words such as fear, crisis and terror come into our homes more and more frequently through the news of the daily media. It is the first time in western history that the perceived fear and insecurity is higher than reality. Due to this climate, we should not be surprised if the abuse of drugs and antidepressants is steadily growing.

The good news of today, however, is that in the Bible we find the solution to every fear and anxiety. In fact, Jesus is the solution to all our needs and if we allow it, his influence in our lives will be just as powerful now as it was two thousand years ago. He has given us much more than just a guide to study, more than just a religion to follow. Jesus has promised us his constant and perfect presence. In Matthew 28:18+21, we see that Jesus reveals something wonderful to us just before returning to the Father. He promises that he will remain with us every day until the end of the world. This means that you can now receive perfect rest, unconditional love, healing, forgiveness, freedom from guilt, joy and all the many other promises that find fulfillment in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

ACTION STEP:

Our starting point is the invitation of our Lord Jesus not to feel insecure and to believe in him.

If you want this in your life, if you want to enjoy the benefits of his presence, you can simply ask him to step into your life. Do not flee and refrain from thinking that you are unworthy of his presence. He has promised that he will stay with us every day and that means he will be with you when you do good, but also when you fall. Today – to be precise once you have finished reading this short text – come to Jesus just as you are, and ask him to fill your heart with the fullness of his love. Everything you need is already provided for you. His presence is only a prayer away, a prayer from all your heart.

Do not let your heart become uncertain, believe in God and the presence of Jesus in your life!

About this Plan

#JESUS2018 - Daily Devotionals

For many people Easter is merely a nice spring festival. However, the origin of Easter is powerful and relevant for all people. During this time, we celebrate that Jesus died and resurrected for us. By doing this, something incredible happened. In this reading plan we want to engage ourselves with the last 24 hours in the life of Jesus. Jesus’ death on the cross is not the end, but the beginning of something totally new. For each one of us. – “Because I live, you also will live.” John 14:19
