Love God Greatly-Fear & AnxietySample

READ: Isaiah 41:10, Psalm 68:5
SOAP: Isaiah 41:10
There is a reason solitary confinement is one of the more grievous punishments within the penal system. Most people do not want to be alone for an extended amount of time. Loneliness can be defined as sadness due to lack of friends or companions. A newer definition of the phenomenon is FOMO or “fear of missing out.”
This fear of loneliness can drive us to gravitate to social media or feel we are inadequate because we cannot keep up with what we think “everyone else” is doing. We must realize that as believers, we have no reason to experience loneliness because we always have access to our Heavenly Father. We should never have to fear desertion or abandonment. God is there to step in for the fatherless and those without a husband. He heals the brokenhearted.
Is there a void of loneliness that you have tried to fill in your life? God wants to strengthen you with His loving arms. It requires us to come to Him with our feelings, concerns, and burdens. What have you used to satisfy a longing that only God can fill? Try handing this area over and see how the Lord can turn this void into joy.
Father God, thank You for Loving me in the good times and in the hard times. I praise you for Your presence. I ask that You help me feel Your presence with me today. Give me faith to trust that You are with me, even when I can’t sense You. Forgive me for the times when I look to other things to fill the void. Thank you for Your forgiveness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
