DISOBEDIENCE 

God created male and female in His image. They knew nothing about sin. God commanded them not to eat of the particular tree. But, they listened to the voice of the devil and disobeyed God and ate the fruit. On account of this sin entered into their lives. Disobedience is the gateway to sin.When you indulge in sin, you lose the image of God and put on the image of man. Because of sin you go through fear. In order to save you from all kinds of bondage, Lord Jesus came into this world.The Almighty God left all His glory and came into this world as a human being to die on the cross in order to save you. So whenever you cry out to Him to forgive your sins and iniquities, He readily cleanses you with His precious blood. His precious blood purifies you from all sin. It gives His image back to you. 

Jesus Christ took all your sins upon Him and became a curse to deliver you from the curse of the Law. He bore all your sins on His body. As you cry out to God, He will answer you and set you free from all your sins. He will deliver you from all your fear and enable you to lead a triumphant life in this world. Therefore, draw near to God and place your trust in Him; for He’s a forgiving and a loving Lord. You are His children and He will fill you with His love. And, when yo are filled with His love, you are able to come out of the fear that may have gripped you for long. The love of Jesus removes all fear and makes you holy.

Reflection

On account of man’s disobedience, mankind fell short of God’s Grace. By disobeying God’s command you fall into the trap of the devil and so are gripped by fear. Have you been disobeying God, knowingly or unknowingly? Have your sins kept you away from the Lord?

Prayer

Loving God, I come before you, repenting of all my sins. Wash me and cleanse me and make me acceptable in your sight. I ask this prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen
