Freedom

Hebrew 2:14-15 “...He too shared in their humanity so that by his death, He might break the power of him who holds the power of death- that is the devil- and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death”.

All people exist, but very few live. Why? Because fear of death brings slavery. A slave’s life is a low life of misery. Without freedom, you merely exist but don’t live.

Through His death, Jesus freed mankind from this slavery. 

John 1:4 “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men”. 

The Greek word for life is ‘zoe’, which is the God-kind of life. It’s the life which God himself enjoys.

Light stands for development. So, the above words can also be read as “In Him was zoe, and the zoe was the development of men.”

Jesus set us free by His death. Now God’s life in us brings development or growth in our lives. We are free to become all that God intended us to be!

Eternal life is not something you will, one day, enjoy in heaven. Eternal life is what you start enjoying, the moment you believe in the sacrifice of Jesus. The moment of the new birth. 

Victor Torres received Jesus into his heart when someone shared the gospel of God’s love with Him. That day as he knelt on the street, God, set him free. Now that is the life Jesus came to give us. 

Declare:

• I seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all things are added unto me. - Matthew 6:33
• Let righteousness, peace, and joy of the kingdom be established in my life. - Romans 14:17 
• Remember me, O Lord, with the favour that You bring unto Your children, and visit me with Your salvation. -Psalm 106:4
• Let me increase with the increase of God. - Colossians 2:19
• I receive the plans of God for my life, thoughts of peace and not evil to bring me to an expected end. – Jeremiah 29:11
• I am Your servant Lord, prosper me. - Nehemiah 1:11
• Lord, You have called me, and You will make my way prosperous. - Isaiah 48:15
• Send Your angels before me to prosper my way. - Exodus 33:2
• Open unto me Your good treasure, and let heavens rainfall upon my life and bless the work of my hand. - Deuteronomy 28:12
• Let me be blessed coming in and blessed going out. - Deuteronomy 28:6

Pray:

• Pray that God would send people your way who are open to Him. Pray for opportunities to share the love of God.
• Pray against all mental strongholds, thoughts, lies, pride, self-reliance that stops people from understanding the love of Jesus.
