Victory

Christ’s death was a defeat of the power of Satan. Satan’s only weapon that can ultimately hurt people is an unforgiving sin. Christ took this weapon away from him! 

Colossians 2:13, 14 “… having forgiven us all our trespasses, by cancelling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross”.

The record of our sins was like an arrest warrant- a death sentence, hanging over our heads. But Jesus took it and cancelled it when he suffered on our behalf. 

Now if you look closely through the eyes of faith, you will see that arrest warrant nailed to the Cross where His hands were once nailed! 

Forgiven! Free! O what a God we serve! 

Colossians 2:15 “And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the Cross”.

With the only weapon removed, Satan, along with his forces, were disarmed through the Cross. Now they can’t harm you. They have to submit to you. Jesus gives you the authority to trample on demonic spirits and assures you that they will not be able to harm you. In Jesus, you are victorious! 

Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to death”.

Three elements are involved here: the blood, the Word of God and our testimony. It simply means that we overcome Satan through the blood of Jesus, by testifying what Christ has won for us on the Cross. 

We have to believe and we have to speak! 

Declare:

• No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against me in judgment I condemn. - Isaiah 54:17
• I break every yoke off my neck, and I burst all the bonds in the name of Jesus. - Jeremiah 30:8
• Never again will I be bound, for Christ has made me free. I am free indeed. - John 8:36
• I tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt me. - Luke 10:19
• Lord, break in pieces and consume every demonic kingdom that resists your dominion. - Psalm 72:8
• I bind and take authority over all nightmares and demonic dreams in the name of Jesus. 
• I release the sword of the Lord against the powers of hell in the name of Jesus. - Judges 7:18
• Release your powerful angels on my behalf to fight my battles in the heavens. - 2 Pet 2:11, Revelation 18:1
• I quench with the shield of faith every fiery dart of jealousy, anger, bitterness, and rage sent against my life in the name of Jesus. - Ephesians 6:16
• I put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. - Isaiah 61:10

Pray: 

• Pray for the city you are living in that the Lord will guard the city against all harm and danger.
• Pray against all the sin in the city – prostitution, rape, child abuse, murder, violence etc. Repent on behalf of your city.
