Knowing God’s HeartSample

Knowing God’s Heart

DAY 7 OF 7

God is Holy

Know God’s heart; a heart of holiness and purity

In Jeremiah 9: 23 & 24, The Lord speaks through the prophet Jeremiah saying “Let not the wise man glory in His wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in His might, nor let the rich man glory in His riches; But let him who glories glory in this, that He understands and knows me, that I am the Lord, exercising loving kindness, judgement, and righteousness in the earth, for in these I delight,”.

The Bible is ample with verses referring to the holiness of God, for instance ‘The Lord your God is Holy, therefore be ye holy’. God wants us to know and understand that He is a God of righteousness, holiness and purity and make our boast in that and live our lives in all holiness and purity.

The world around us is abundant with pagan, heathen acts; ungodliness and acts of perversion. This aches the heart of God as the above is contrary to His very nature. It is at this moment, that we as believers need to rise up and support that which promotes holiness, purity and righteousness and as a result welcome God’s kingdom here on earth. Let us make a bold choice to be a carrier of His holiness, purity and righteousness in our circles of influence. This will please God’s heart.

Father, we thank you that you have called us Lord, to know and understand who you are; that you are the Lord who exercises loving kindness, mercy and grace, redemption, love and goodness, justice and righteousness on the earth. May our boast be in you, that we know your heart and live out of your heart in our everyday lives. In Jesus name, Amen.
