Rest

Yesterday, we learned that we all carry dreams in our hearts that are there to glorify God—dreams that we might have been given even as children.

The daily verse says, "Behold, I am making all things new". In today's video, Simcha explains that 'all things' can also include 'old things'—even the hopes and dreams that we have laid to rest for many years.  Things we had assumed had died, as well as the things that could never be possible.

She asks, "What if everything we've been walking through is not a distraction from the dreams that God has given us, but rather part of the process of preparation to step into the dreams He has put into our hearts?"

Once we let go of our dreams, once we stop forcing things through, we can rest and trust in God's timing in our lives. We can know that when our dreams come to life it is only because of God's orchestration and not our own striving.

Do we dare take down from storage the boxes where our dreams have lain for years? Will we allow God to speak to us about how He has been preparing us and that nothing has been wasted? 

Today, allow Him to breathe His breath on 'old things' while we rest and trust in His timing.
