Reading The Bible In Historical Sequence Part 4Sample

Over the next six years, David subdues surrounding nations with tribute flowing into Jerusalem. While attacking Aram north of Damascus, Edom invades Israel (see introduction to Psalm 60). David sends his army chief Joab and his brother Abishai south. They defeat Edom and kill most males (1 Kings 11:15–16). David honors Jonathan’s son and recalls the mighty support of his loyal men.
Note 1 Chronicles 11:15–19: This passage repeats 2 Samuel 23:13–17 which was read on Day 10 because of its relevance to their Adullam cave location.
