PRAY // Jesus gives us freedom from guilt, shame, and sin. We can have 100 percent confidence that He will love us and forgive us no matter what. Now, we might think this means we can do anything we feel like doing because, after all, God gave us freedom and will for sure forgive us. But living that way never leads us anywhere good or anywhere we’re proud of. The truth is, we’re supposed to use our freedom to serve others. Using our freedom this way will stretch and grow our faith because it goes against our natural desire to put ourselves first. However, it’s this kind of living that leads us toward a life we’re truly proud of and excited to live. Today, ask God for the faith to serve others—even when it’d be easier to focus on yourself.
