DAY 13 OF 15

THIS MOMENT

It’s so easy to live on autopilot. Even during the times we specifically want to slow down for—a child’s birthday, a beautiful hike or beach day, a great meal with friends—it’s almost a battle to stop thinking of our to-do lists, our needs, and our errands. But despite how frazzled our schedules make us feel, we are actually in charge of our thoughts. Satan will use whatever he can to convince us we’re too busy to read our Bibles, pray, or thank God for His blessings in our lives, so distraction is a powerful weapon in his arsenal. We aim to set our eyes on our Father, but our phones just keep chirping, right? Practice the art of presence. Of being where you really are and experiencing what’s really happening. Of living each moment of each day like it’s the last one you’ll get. Thank God for the blessings in your life. Don’t waste precious energy dwelling on your mistakes and your past that He’s already forgiven, either! Learn to slow down and soak in the wonder of every individual day. The Psalmist said numbering your days is what leads to a heart of wisdom! Imagine, a gift as valuable as wisdom gained from something as simple as appreciating the here and now. He will let you lie down and refresh your soul. Jesus is all you need, right here in this moment.

About this Plan

Greater

This study plan is a complement to the Central Live album titled Greater , and covers some of the scriptural truths that inspired us when writing it. For the next two weeks, let’s explore and savor the personality of God, worship Him through song, and live with fresh gratefulness for our rescue. Greater comes from John 3:30, which is an aim Central Live strives to achieve every day: “He must become greater and I must become less.”
