DAY 10 OF 12

Community

  • Our faith is not meant to be isolating and complacent, but should make us mobile, active, and productive people on a mission. We should pick up the good, God-glorifying discussion that takes place in comfortable spaces and turn those ideas into actions. Scripture tells us it is of no use to merely talk about clothing and feeding the naked and hungry. We have to put those conversations into practice. We are called to more.
  • We are called to be people who seek out the hungry and give them the necessities that we’re capable of providing, just as the Lord has done for us. If we need an example of one who didn’t just talk but chose to act, we can look to Jesus Christ on the cross. He chose to step out of Heaven and onto earth to fight for us when we were hopelessly vulnerable to the destruction of sin. He provided the redemption we desperately required in our greatest hour of need.
  • Prepare to read the following verses by praying & asking God to focus your attention and affections on Him.

Reflection:

  • Where do you talk without deed or truth? Where’s your hypocrisy?
  • Why are your “works” so directly tied to your faith? Why does God care so much?
  • What does it mean to “lay down one’s life”?

About this Plan

Different Direction

We’re all creating a cultural impact where we work, live, and play. But how intentional are we with that influence? Are we Different in a way that Directs people to Jesus Christ in our workplace, relationships, and community?
