When you first choose to follow Jesus, your heart’s born again as a spiritual baby. You don’t know what’s right, so you need others to teach you and tell you what to do. And that’s okay … until you’ve been following Jesus for a while. To be mature, work at learning from God’s Word on your own, spend time teaching others, helping others, and serving them. If you don’t do any of that, and you expect others to keep taking care of you, it’s like you’re a big kid that still needs to drink baby milk from a bottle! Eeew!
