LIVE // Have you ever seen a movie where someone is about to make a terrible choice and you scream at the screen, “RUN!!!” In those moments, you can see what the character can’t, and with your perspective, you know they’re about to get in a lot of trouble. Paul is telling us the same thing when it comes to making poor choices sexually. He knows that in the moments when sexual sin is right in front of us, we often lack perspective and are at risk of making an unwise choice. So, Paul says we ought to avoid—or RUN—from the places, times, and people where you know you may find yourself in more trouble than you can handle. Remember: Paul tells us to run because he wants what’s best for us. And when we don’t run, chances are we’ll make a choice that hurts us and other people long term.
