Rejection was a reality in Biblical times. People in the wrong jobs were judged (shepherds).  People with the wrong health care plan were judged (leprosy). Anyone caught in sin was judged. Jesus meets a lady who, by societal standards, was facing serious judgment. Yet Jesus loved her. It seems like this happens with everyone whom Jesus comes into contact  – even us! When we encounter Jesus, He changes us. The woman leaves this encounter called to live in a new life. That’s what Jesus gives us the chance to do. When we encounter Jesus, He embraces us and then encourages us to be changed. Ask yourself - how can you encounter Jesus today? What do you need to confess to Him? Then, ask Him to transform you.
