What are some things in your life you have control over right now? As a student, it may not feel like you have control of much! But the truth is, there are a few things that you have total and complete control over, even as a middle schooler! Things like your character, your influences, your choices—you get to have the final say in all of those things. You have the opportunity to control those parts of your lives, so why not do so in a way that honors God? When you follow Christ, you get the guidance of the Holy Spirit to help you make choices that reflect God’s ways in the parts of your lives that you can control. With God, you always have someone who wants to help you live the best life possible. Think of some of the areas of your life that you can control—your choices, your words, your character, etc. This week, pick just one of those areas and ask God to help you focus on making choices that honor Him in that part of your life.
