The Craving And The Cure: How To Align Your Dreams To God's DesiresSample
Day 4 - Authentication - What is my motivation for my desire or craving?
The Israelites had been receiving manna, which provided for all of their nutritional needs. They could gather it, grind it, boil it or make it into loaves. There were not in need, but rather in want. It seemed as if the food from their time in slavery fueled these unwarranted cravings. They fretted about the manna, that they did not plant, did not work for, but only harvested. They romanticized the fish, cucumbers, melons, leeks and onions while dismissing the harsh treatment, the inequities and the slavery back in Egypt. Had they forgotten the cost of those meals?
Heart Check: Have I found myself desiring the spoils of a sin laden past? Has the reliability and consistency of the abundant life left me longing for the old life?
Prayer: Lord, God give me a clear authentic view of Your motivations and bring my heart into full alignment with Yours. Help me walk in rhythm with Your Holy Spirit.

About this Plan
Have you ever wondered if the dreams that you have for your life mirror God's desires for your life? How do you know? Over the next seven days we will walk together to submit our dreams and cravings to God and listen for His response. As we walk through Numbers 11 we will hear the Israelites' desires, cravings, and wishes and listen for God’s answers, provision and dreams for His children then and for us now.
