Summer LoveSample

Remember you love me
Before King Solomon, there was King David, the shepherd boy turned musician-king. His lyrics have been read and sung probably by more people than anyone else’s on the planet. Bono describes David as “the first bluesman”. He’s a passionate disciple of Yahweh, and an equally passionate sinner. This collision of passions results in some powerful lyrics. In Psalm 25, David almost pleads with God to remember that He loves His poor creatures, has loved them “from of old” and if He can overlook our youthful foolishness and life-long rebellions, we just might be remembered well by our Creator. It’s what we sing and pray for.
Question: Do you have the same passion as David to be guided, forgiven, remembered and loved by God.

About this Plan

“Love is love” has become a catchphrase of our times. But it does not have any meaning until we define what love is. The Christian starting point is to say that God is love. This series looks to understand the nature of God’s love. By the end of the series, I hope that the word ‘love’ has all the rich and flavoursome ingredients to it that Scripture has to offer.
