Receiving God's Love
Thank God that He loves you simply because He has chosen to love you, and ask His help to put aside all attempts to earn His love.
Our human pride likes to be able to come up with clear and logical reasons why God should love us: our attractive personalities, our wisdom and achievements, our compassion and hard work on behalf of others, to name but a few. On those days when we are painfully aware of our lack of ‘lovability’ we can feel vulnerable to rejection. Yet the truth is that there is not one logical reason for God to love us; He loves us simply because He has chosen to love us. Our part is to invest time in opening ourselves to receive His love.

About this Plan
We love because God first loved us. Until we have received God’s love, and grasped its breadth, height, and depth, our attempts to love others will falter. Our love is a response to meeting the God who is love, and allowing ourselves to be loved by Him. This 40-day prayer journey focuses on investing time in receiving God’s love, being changed by that love, and responding to that love.
