Passion 2019 Reading Plan Sample

Many of us do not have a robust belief in God's power. We may believe He’ll provide the most basic things in life, but few of us have the boldness to pray audacious prayers. We may lack or have lost faith that He’ll hear and answer.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 17:20, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Can you imagine being one of the disciples hearing this in that moment?! If they were anything like us, their heads must have been spinning. Jesus backed this massive statement up. He performed miracles, healed diseases, and raised the dead! Hello! 

Before Jesus ascended to Heaven, He said that “all authority on heaven and earth have been given to me” (Matthew 28:18).  The He commissioned His disciples to go into the world, filled with this same unrivaled power and authority. This is what we’re given as followers of Jesus!

Therefore, let us raise our faith and not put the power of God into a box! Jesus wants us to dream big dreams for His kingdom, pray in faith-filled confidence that God will build it, and rest in trust of His resurrection power and perfect heart.
