It’s easy to compare ourselves to others. We tend to look at what they have, or what they do, or where they go, and hold it up to what we have, or what we do, or where we go.
With comparison, we can find ourselves constantly wishing our lives looked more like somebody else’s. But Paul suggests something different. Instead of looking to others, he says we should look to our Creator, God, and become like Him. Trying to become more like others is a losing game. But looking to God is ultimately learning to become more of who He created us to be.
Today, live with the goal of looking to God to tell you who you are and let Him make you more like your Creator.

We’ll discover that Jesus didn’t come to keep us captive to a list of rules. In fact, just the opposite is true! Because of Jesus, we get to live as free people.
