One HeartSample
One Heart for the Lost
Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
Mark 1:17 “Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” "
I love the Church. There are few things as powerful or as beautiful as the unified Church when it is healthy and focussed. But a unified Church that has lost sight of its mission is a crippled one. Jesus came to seek and save the lost and His Church needs to do the same. In a world where so many are seeking purpose and meaning, how can we not offer them what we have found? We constantly live in the tension of caring for those within the Church and creating an incredible atmosphere there, while knowing we are called to reach out to those outside of our borders. We cannot be “fishers of men” if we remain indoors. Start praying for opportunities to reach out to the lost in your neighbourhood. Perhaps your Church has an outreach programme you can join, or maybe it is as simple as reaching out to the server bringing you coffee at your favourite coffee shop? If you open yourself up to be used of God, don’t be surprised when He takes you up on the offer.
Reflect
- Is something keeping you from reaching out to the lost in your community? Speak to God about what that is. Ask Him to help you overcome whatever it may be.
- Who can you reach out to this week? Be specific!
Prayer
- Pray for the lost in your life, that they may come to know God and that their hearts would be softened to His voice.
- Pray for the lost in your city, that they would experience the love of Christ, and that His love would set them free.

About this Plan
What if the Church could stand as one, having ONE HEART for God, His people, the lost and for discipling those new to the faith? Join us as we consider reflecting God’s heart for our city.
