More Than Sample

This is what God told the people of Israel through the prophet Hosea. The people went to the temple and offered sacrifices, but their hearts weren’t in it. They just went through the motions and did what they thought they were supposed to do, but it didn’t mean anything to them. They weren’t giving their sacrifices for the right reasons. They did it out of routine and because they felt they had to.
But, worship isn’t about what you do. It’s about Who God is. Worship starts in the heart.
Have you ever found yourself in the same place as the Israelites - just going through the motions when it comes to worship? Has your worship become routine? Do you do it because you feel like you have to? Or, do you worship from a heart-felt place to give thanks to God, tell him he’s awesome, and focus on him?

About this Plan

We were created to worship. But, what do we mean when we talk about worship? In this plan, we’ll talk about what worship is, why we worship, and how.
