FIVE WAYS TO PRAYSample
PRAY WITH PAIN
It is well known that people often begin to pray when bad things take place, things that we have no control over and seem impossible to turnaround. Whether it’s a health battle, a relationship breakdown or financial hardship, there are many things that can push us towards prayer.
Although God doesn’t want our relationship with Him to be purely crisis orientated, He wants us to know that we can bring our pain to Him, and that He can carry the things that seem too heavy on our own. He is a God of hope, healing and miracles and is encouraging us to use our pain as a platform for our prayers.
Don’t let your pain paralyse your faith, let it propel you closer to His promises.
In the following story we see Hannah, a women suffering deep anguish and pain, but ultimately, a women who was willing to pour out her pain on the altar of prayer and receive a miracle from God.
Whatever pain you’re facing today, don’t hide it, deny it or let it cause you to turn away from God, but rather let it push you nearer and nearer to the one who makes all things possible.
