Summoned: Stepping Up to Live and Lead With JesusSample

Bosses
What have you learned about relating to authority figures? What do you do when you and your boss don’t get along or when you sort of get along? When you’re in charge, how do you treat those who work for you?
God shapes our perspective on our relation to and our use of authority. God uses both painful and positive experiences to teach us how to relate to those who have authority over us and how to interact with those under our authority.
David knew that to harm Saul, his human authority, would be to sin against God, his ultimate authority. Joseph refused to sleep with Potiphar’s wife and thereby dishonor Potiphar, his authority.
Leaders must be able to both submit to and exercise authority properly.

About this Plan

You have been summoned. Life is complicated, and sometimes we feel stuck or adrift. But God has been at work in your life, and he's still working in you. God is calling men to a deeper life of faith, surrender and commitment. You can learn to recognize where he's leading you and what he's calling you to become.
