Finding Hope At Home

DAY 4 OF 4

Who is the kinsman redeemer in your home?

Boaz appreciates the logic and faith of Naomi’s plan but insists that she meet first with another man that he considers a better choice. Chapter 4 begins with Naomi meeting with this man but he quickly rejects the opportunity. That man was hesitant and unwilling. Boaz was willing and stepped forward unselfishly in faith.

Ruth makes it clear that patience is a virtue worth cultivating. When her mother-in-law tells her to wait for Boaz to act, Ruth wisely waits.

As you set this time aside now to listen to the audio prayer, first pause as you reflect over that someone in your life that reflects Christ in your life. That someone that Christ works in and through to give you his eternal hope.

About this Plan

Finding Hope At Home

We all have conflict in the home at times don’t we? It can be conflict between you and your spouse, with the children, or even in-laws. We can learn a lot about finding hope in our home from the Book of Ruth in the Old Testament. It was written to the people of Israel during a difficult time in their history. The book teaches us all that sincere love often requires sacrifice. We can learn from Ruth’s story that obedience in everyday life pleases God. We can learn about the loving, faithful nature of God in times of trouble. You can also see examples of how God responds to His people’s cry and then watch as He responds. God cares for you and the outcasts of our society. If you don’t feel hope in your home don’t despair…together lets learn from Naomi and Ruth how to find hope again.
