THE GOD SHOUTSample
There are times when the Holy Spirit needs to speak softly and gently to us. Like Elijah our souls are in pain and we just can’t cope with the volume.
However, there are times when we need to hear His voice strong and loud. That is not a fearful thing. It is a glorious thing. It’s not the shout of rebuke. It’s the shout of power, breakthrough, and clarity.
My decision to relocate from my hometown of Perth to Brisbane in 1992 turned out to be a defining moment. Unbeknown to me I was positioning myself to be launched into full time ministry only a few weeks later.
I have paid many a price to obey the the call of God but this has been one of the costliest. Being separated from my family all these years is a price I pay every day. It is not getting any easier, especially as my mum enters her twilight years.
Nevertheless, and at times with great anguish of heart, I have followed the Lord. How? Because of the shout. It’s the shout, the rhema word. It’s the revelation that has empowered me. When times have gotten tough and I’ve started to question what I was doing, the remembrance of that shout has recalibrated me.
God doesn’t shout every day but He can do when He needs to and the significance of following that shout is often life changing.

About this Plan
When it comes to the subject of God’s voice, there has been much said about the “still small voice” of God. Yes, God can speak in whispers, but He also knows how to shout if He has to. Some of you find hearing God’s voice a hard thing. You strain and struggle to hear the whisper. I have good news, God can shout if He needs to.
