Walking In Victory Sample
As we saw yesterday, this commission of Gibeonites come to the camp of the Israelites pretending they ́re coming from a faraway city and ask a covenant with the Israelites. They make the pact with them without asking God about it and, in today ́s Scriptures, we read how they realized the mistake. When they arrived in Gibeon to conquer the city, the people of Israel couldn’t attack them because they have made a covenant with them and they couldn't break their promise.
Joshua, at the end, made their mistake to work for them. The Gibeonites were put to the service of the tabernacle. Their work was to haul the water and fuel needed there. The Gibeonites had no other choice than to submit to the task given to them.
I ́m not a fan of the Message Bible translation, but I use it as well as other translations to have a broader view of Scripture. When you read Psalm 19 in the Message translation, verse 13 says “keep me from stupid sins”. How many things could I have avoided in my life if I had used that as a prayer! The Israelites could have used this prayer too in his meeting with the Gibeonites. Enlisting the enemy, even if they work for you, is never a good idea.
Dear God, as Psalm 19 says, please, keep me back from stupid sins. Help me discern my errors and seek for Your advice always. In Jesus name. Amen.

About this Plan
The book of Joshua teaches us to remember the promises God has given us and to trust God in everything He gives us to do. The same God who was with Joshua and the Israelites is with us today. He has given us the same promises and He wants us to claim the inheritance He has already given us. We pray this study helps you start walking in victory!
