Autumn- Written by Marleen Blondeel
Day 28
As the end of autumn approaches we start to brace ourselves for the next season. It is now or never! Time waits for no man. Just a few chapters more in this season we are in. It is time to update the operating system of our life. There are old files and programs to be deleted, hard drives that need cleaning and random access memory to be added. It's time to push the “refresh" button and invent one's self anew. Tap into our power and passion, creativity and aliveness. Time to write our bucket list and act upon it!
Do not waste this season! Satan wants us to waste our life by wasting our season. When we look a bit further in the chapter of Ecclesiastes the writer encourages us to not wait for this season of our life to be over, but to live fully in the one that we are in, because this is God's gift to us, Ecclesiastes 3:12-13 AMP.
Do that crazy thing with your kid before they go their own way. Do that challenge whilst you are still physically able. Do not be that person that tells the same old story over and over again about what happened way back, but write new stories in this season of your life. Now is the time to make sure we will not look back with regret.
Change before you have to. In the Star Wars movie Yoda famously says, “No. Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.” We have to be a faithful steward of the time that God has given us, 1 Peter 4:10 AMP. Time to declare Philippians 1:6 AMP that He who has started a good work will finish it and act upon it! It is never too late to sow into our lives.
Get serious about the parable of the talents Matthew 25:14-30 AMP
We will also be held accountable for what we did with the talents God has given us. Being in the autumn of whatever season means we are drawing closer to the time the owner is coming back.
Will we have to dig up what was given to us or will we be able to present our talents with interest?
Time to play to our strengths, not spending vast amounts of time attempting to be a jack-of-all-trades. Instead, let’s deepen our ability to do what we do best. Use the 70-25-5 principle: Give 70 percent of our time to our areas of strength. Give 25 percent of our time to the areas we want to improve. Give 5 percent of our time to the areas of our weakness.
About this Plan
We all go through seasons of life, some bring us joy, some bring us sorrow, but each one teaches us something of God's heart for us. Join us as we explore some of these seasons and navigate how to journey them well!
