"Unstoppable"

It started as an ordinary day, then a miracle was performed and a lame man walked. Immediately afterwards, a crowd gathered and heard the Gospel. But as they spoke to the people, religious authorities were annoyed because they were teaching the people about Jesus. They were thrown into prison for sharing the gospel.

You may be facing a different kind of persecution today. Maybe it's being reprimanded by school authorities, being ostracized by your classmates or being labeled and bullied for your faith. For those in creative access nations, the persecution you're facing could be as frightening and as dangerous as what Peter and John faced.

Jesus never promised a life without troubles. In fact, quite the opposite, He told us that we would face hardships. The good news is this: He has also promised that He has overcome the world. This makes us unstoppable. In the same book we can see that, even though they were persecuted, Peter and John's act and declaration of faith bore much fruit. The Bible tells us that, "But many of those who had heard the word believed, and the number of the men came to about five thousand."

In the same way, we believe that as we do what we need to do: engage others, preach the gospel and disciple others, growth will come. We will advance the kingdom of God.
