Life According To Jim - Lessons From Jesus' Brother, JamesSample

Today’s passage could not be more relevant for our social media driven culture. James writes, “Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.”
We live in a culture where we want our opinions to be heard and only want to associate with people who have the same opinions. In many ways, we have lost the ability to discuss tough topics because we need to be heard and to be right.
Today we are reminded to listen first before we speak. To lead with love and focus on caring for people rather than winning an argument.
So how can you practice these truths today?

About this Plan

No one reads the book of James and thinks, “So what does that have to do with me?” Unlike many of the New Testament letters that were written to one specific church, James is writing instructions to Christians all over. During this 14-day plan, we will be challenged and encouraged by the book of James’ practical and timely message.
