True North: Leading Your Family SpirituallySample

To lead your family spiritually, you must strive to be a good son to your Heavenly Father. Then, with God’s help, I can be a good husband, father, etc. to the family God has chosen me to lead.
Part of being a good son is being honest with the Lord about our past, our hurts, and our insecurities from the brokenness in our lives. Whether you were raised in a broken family, dysfunctional family, an abusive home, or whatever the case may be… we all have hurt in our hearts.
Be honest with the Lord and yourself, but also consider reaching out to your pastor, a counselor, or even a support group to continue dealing with these past hurts and growing as the Spiritual Leader of your home.
Question: If I prioritize my relationship with my Heavenly Father, what will my relationship with my wife and children look like?
