Help Others Get Connected! Part 1

DAY 4 OF 7

Trust God For The Right Words At The Right Time!

Some believers don’t want to encourage others to join them in their campus ministry or local church because they are afraid that they don’t know what to say if they are asked a tough question. That’s a fair statement. Nobody wants to be embarrassed or even worse be an embarrassment for the kingdom of God.

However, most of the time that question doesn’t even come up. If your approach is to help others get connected to the group during their first 21 days on campus, it’s likely the tough theological question will come later rather than sooner. So you’ll have some relational capital that will help you navigate the awkward conversations.

As we see in today’s scripture, the truth is that God will give you what you need to say at just the right moment. Sometimes that might be, “I’m not sure how to answer that, can I do a little research and get back to you?” Perhaps you have had the experience where a scripture or thought comes to mind and you think, “Wow, I didn’t even know I knew that!” That’s the real-life example of this scripture being implemented through the power of the Holy Spirit inside all believers.

So, go ahead. Risk the awkward introduction. Be brave in talking with that new student. If they ask the tough question, quote this verse in your mind and let the Spirit guide you in what you should say.

About this Plan

Help Others Get Connected! Part 1

Last year we released 21 Days To Connect: Anchoring Your College Life. This year, we want to help you help others connect with this series of devotions. It’s designed to encourage you to invest the first 21 days of the semester to helping others find the purpose and joy in Jesus that you have found, along with the connection to a solid community of other believers. Part 1 of 3.
