Help Others Get Connected, Part 3Sample
Hear The Word Together! There is a special power inherent in a group. It can be used to cause a riot or create a movement for change. When people get together, something happens!
Timothy had heard the Word in a group of others who could serve as witnesses. It’s also possible Paul shared in a group of other witnesses who could have challenged his testimony if it was untrue. Either way, what Timothy learned wasn’t in isolation.
Many believers today want to experience their faith journey alone. The problem is that isn’t how the scriptures teach us to do it. We are meant to hear the Word together. It’s great to have a quiet time of personal reflection, but that shouldn’t exclude gathering with other believers to hear the scriptures read and taught.
When the book of the law was discovered in Nehemiah’s day and the people gathered to hear it read, they wept! Even in our day, there are still places where people weep and shout for joy when they hear the Word of the Lord read in their native language.
Make sure you are gathering with other believers this week to hear the Word of the Lord together!

About this Plan
Last year we released 21 Days To Connect: Anchoring Your College Life. This year, we want to help you help others connect with this series of devotions. It’s designed to encourage you to invest the first 21 days of the semester to helping others find the purpose and joy in Jesus that you have found, along with the connection to a solid community of other believers.
