Epic (Part 3): The Storyline Of The BibleSample

Jehu continues to carry out God’s judgement against Ahab’s family and the worshippers of Baal. As a result, God promises that Jehu will be the beginning of a new line of kings. However, he is not fully devoted to following God.
How sad to be part of God’s judgement, but not devoted to him. Sometimes Christians are like this too. They can see the sin in other people, but continue to engage in their own. Recognizing sin in others is fine, but recognizing it in yourself and removing it is much more important.

About this Plan

This is part three of a four part plan to read the books of the Bible that tell of the historical events. Although the Bible contains many stories, it is one epic story of God’s interactions with humanity. One day per week can be used to catch up on missed readings or for reflection. Notes are also included to assist with understanding.
