Instead of praying that God would bring you the perfect spouse, maybe we should pray that God does some work on us? Here are two scriptures - one that addresses women and one that addresses men and some of the characteristics that ought to be true of us if we're going to love each other as we should. Women - we know that quarreling never really solved any problem, but it certainly creates them. Men - our model of being selfless is none other than Jesus Himself, in the way that He loved the Church.

Pray for a few minutes this morning and ask God to help make you the right person to be ready to be married and love someone as the Bible asks us to!
