Love God Greatly - GalatiansSample

Paul writes this letter to the churches in the region of Galatia to urge them to stand firmly on the source of their salvation, Jesus Christ. Salvation is a gift that believers receive when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior through faith. Our salvation is absolutely free, a true gift of God through His Son Jesus Christ, in which He delivers us from the bondage of sin. We don’t have to work to earn salvation. We don’t have to perform religious activities to receive salvation. Our only responsibility is to accept the gift through our faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Have you surrendered your life to the Lord? If not, will you make today your day of salvation? If you have, will you share your faith and hope in the Lord Jesus Christ today with someone who does not know Him?
Father God, thank You for opening the eyes of my heart to Your gift of salvation. I thank You that Jesus became the sacrifice for my sin, so that by believing in Him I have been redeemed from death and been forgiven of all sin. I thank You, Lord, for Your free gift of grace to all who believe which cost You so dearly. Thank You that by Jesus’ sacrifice for my sin, I have been pronounced righteous in Him. I thank You, Lord, that in Jesus, I can be myself. I thank You, Lord, that I don’t have to focus on “appearing” perfect, because in Jesus, I have already been made perfect. I thank You, Lord, for loving me first, loving me the most, and loving me just as I am. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

About this Plan

We are going to experience Paul’s exhortation to the young Christians in Galatia (also meant for us) telling them that all that is necessary – all they need – is the gospel… the good news. Tim Keller says, “The gospel – the message that we are more wicked than we ever dared believe, but more loved and accepted in Christ than we ever dared hope – creates a radical new dynamic for personal growth, for obedience, for love.” And that makes our hearts sing! Galatians summarizes the gospel and what it means to our hearts. This, friends, is life changing.
