21 Days of God's GoodnessSample
Goodness and Generosity
One of the expressions of God’s goodness is His commitment to being our provider. Throughout scripture we find God being a willing provider for the needs of His people.
The expected response to God’s generous provision is that we will, in turn, express thankfulness and be generous also. In his letter to the Corinthians, Paul paints a beautiful picture of the flow of God’s generosity. The flow looks like this:
· God provides.
· We respond by being generous.
· God provides even more.
· We respond by being even more generous.
In this way we don’t hoard the goodness of God for ourselves; we share the goodness of God generously and joyfully. Now this scripture is referring specifically to finances, but there are many other ways that God has been generous with us and we can be generous with others – forgiveness, kindness, grace – to name just a few.
How can your life more completely reflect the goodness of God? Ask the Lord to show you some ways you can become a more generous person.

About this Plan
“God is good.” Everyone who’s been a Christian for a while has heard this statement a thousand times. We hear it. We say it. We sing it. But do we really believe it? For the next 21 days we are going to be exploring what the Bible has to tell us about the goodness of God.
