21 Days of God's GoodnessSample
God’s Loving Guidance
“Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God;
may your good Spirit
lead me on level ground.” – Psalm 143:10
There are a myriad of voices and views beckoning for our attention and allegiance. Listening to the wrong voice, following the wrong lead can result in disastrous consequences. As a pastor, it always breaks my heart to see people suffering needless pain due to the poor choices they have made.
In God’s goodness, His desire is to guide us along paths that lead to life and blessing. Trusting in the perfect goodness of God will give us confidence to follow His lead, even when we don’t fully understand His guidance.
In his book, Knowing God, J.I Packer writes, “Guidance, like all God's acts of blessing under the covenant of grace, is a sovereign act. Not merely does God will to guide us in the sense of showing us his way, that we may tread it; he wills also to guide us in the more fundamental sense of ensuring that, whatever happens, whatever mistakes we may make, we shall come safely home. Slippings and strayings there will be, no doubt, but the everlasting arms are beneath us; we shall be caught, rescued, restored. This is God's promise; this is how good he is.”
As we bring our study to a close, I encourage you to continue to pursue God with all your heart. He really is good and He really does want good things for His children

About this Plan
“God is good.” Everyone who’s been a Christian for a while has heard this statement a thousand times. We hear it. We say it. We sing it. But do we really believe it? For the next 21 days we are going to be exploring what the Bible has to tell us about the goodness of God.
