GO2020 | ENGAGE: January Week 1 - WORDSample

January—Word
Week One
Memory verse for January 12-18: 2 Timothy 3:16–17
January 15
Read
Psalm 19:7–11
Reflect
Imagine if our human laws — whether they’re the rules that govern your home or the laws that order nations — were perfect. Just comparing them to an ideal makes us realize how far short they fall. But with God’s law, we don’t have to wonder about if his promises will be realized. What a gift it is to know that his Word will never fail. Of all other voices in the world, there is only one in which our souls may rest with perfect trust.
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions.
· What does it say about God?
· What does it say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Read this week’s memory verse, 2 Timothy 3:16–17. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

About this Plan

GO2020 is about change. The world needs Jesus, but the problem is, the majority of Christians are not sharing their faith. How do we see that change? This week we will discover our need for the Word of God and the promise of its power in our lives.
