GO2020 | ENGAGE: January Week 1 - WORDSample

January—Word
Week One
Memory verse for January 12-18: 2 Timothy 3:16–17
January 17
Read
Acts 17:10–12
Romans 15:13–14
Reflect
How did the Jews in Berea earn the descriptor “noble”? By consistently and eagerly studying Scripture. These godly men and women believed the promises of God in Scripture, and they wanted to see for themselves how Paul’s message about Jesus was prophesied and explained in God’s Word.
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passages. Say or write them out in your own words, considering the following questions.
· What do they say about God?
· What do they say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply these Scriptures to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Read this week’s memory verse, 2 Timothy 3:16-17. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

About this Plan

GO2020 is about change. The world needs Jesus, but the problem is, the majority of Christians are not sharing their faith. How do we see that change? This week we will discover our need for the Word of God and the promise of its power in our lives.
