Book of LeviticusSample

THE PRICE OF EDUCATION
After the Israelites left Egypt, they were shaped by the Lord in the desert. God wanted His people to have the characteristics of the promised people that would differentiate them from the other nations. He wanted them to be an example for those who did not know the God of Abraham. This shaping process was not easy, and God is sometimes described as someone who is very strict and dislikes ungodliness. Holiness is the true nature of God. He does not compromise with sin.
The nation that did not know the Lord was now shaped by many rules to live their lives in holiness, starting with the procedures to meet God, various abstinences of food, the procedures to handle diseases, social life and marriage life. These rules were made with the purpose to educate God’s chosen people so that they would have the qualities of people who honor their God.
In order to know Him in a deeper way, we have to be willing to come into a battlefield. We have to guard our hearts and be faithful so that our life’s quality is proven. When God teaches us with His word, His teachings could be in the form of restrictions, difficulties or other ways. However, just believe that all of these are meant to bring goodness to us and contain God’s miraculous promises for us.
As long as we are still living in the world, the process will continue with one purpose: that He has our hearts..
