GO2020 | ENGAGE: January Week 3 - WORDSample
January 27
Read
Acts 2:29–36
Reflect
Jesus was born in a manger, grew up in a backwater village, was belittled for his humble upbringing, yet he was God made man, the Son of David, the Messiah, the King of kings and Lord of lords. His resurrection, three days after his crucifixion, was a sign to all that he was no ordinary man. At his ascension he was exalted at the right hand of God and he will reign forever. He is indeed both Lord and Christ.
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passages. Say or write them out in your own words, considering the following questions:
· What do they say about God?
· What do they say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply these Scriptures to my life?
· With whom will I share this truth showing that I care?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verses, Colossians 1:18-20. Spend a few minutes beginning to memorize them.

About this Plan
The first disciples of Jesus were first-hand witnesses of his life, passion, death, and resurrection. They were privileged to see him in the flesh, to savor his ministry and miracles, and to worship the exalted Christ who conquered sin, death, and hell in providing a way of salvation for all of us. This is the Jesus they proclaimed, and that we have believed in through their witness.
